I am 18 years old, turning 19 in October.


General Location:
I currently live, and intend to stay for the next while, in Canada. I live in the capital city, Ottawa, which is GMT -5.


Reasons for wanting to join the Eats Gnomes?:
I would like to apply to an active raiding guild which I could participate and potentially run through raids with ease.


Do you have a reliable network connection?:
Absolutely. I rarely have any problems with my internet connection.


Any problem with sitting out a raid night?:
Absolutely not. I would love to participate however .


Will you come prepared for raids (flasks/reagents/etc.)?:
I am 525 in cooking, so there is no problem with food. I don't have any alch, so I would have to buy a few flasks beforehand.


What do you do to prepare for attempting new content?:
I watch some reliable videos about the bosses, such as Tankspot's guide. She really seems to explain the fights well. However, I know ALL fights for the original Cataclysm expansion. I've completed most, Nefarian is the last boss I need to beat.


We want everyone to be on top of their game. Can you handle criticism?:
I am known for handling criticism at work. (It actually saved me from losing my job). If at any time you have suggestions on how I could do better, I would love to hear them.

The rest of the Specs are not important for speed.


What do you have to offer to the guild?:
I have 525 level Blacksmithing, Mining  and Cooking. I'm working on Archaeology, Fishing, and I'll be doing First Aid last. (I am able to heal myself already.) This is my main, on which I do all events and achievs, etc.. So this is my most updated character.

I am VERY comfortable w/ both my specs, Protection and Retribution, and can pull a nice amount of DPS on both. I keep my characters updated according to Elitist Jerks specifications, w/ a few personal choices of my own.


What do you want to accomplish with the guild?:
I would like to complete raids regularly. I'm hoping to get to Heroic Raids and finish up Firelands soon .


What addons do you use?:
I use most of the add-ons required for the guild. I use Recount, DBM, Omen3 and Atlas Loot. I will get the loot add-on as soon as I finish writing this application.

Please Note: I kept the Leaden Despair because of the nice amount of Stamina it gives. I'm currently working on getting a trinket from Magmaw/Valiona. I hear there's also a tanking trinket from doing dailies, so I'm trying to get that too.

Main-spec:
Protection is my main spec. This is the spec w/ which I am most comfortable and the most geared.


Off-spec:
Retribution is my Offspec. I'm very comfortable with this spec as well, but it still needs a bit of gearing.


How do you believe you compare to others of your class/spec?:
I consider myself very raid aware. I focus on a lot of those small details, and I know when something is going on. I call out a lot of the boss abilities or steps to take in fights. As for Tanking, I can hold aggro very well, even with high DPS. Wings + Righteous Fury usually do the trick .


Would you be willing to change your off-spec if asked?:
Absolutely. I have no problems switching between specs!


Have you ever been kicked off the short bus on the way to special ed?
Uh...What?


List the professions you have, and why did you pick them?:
I chose Blacksmithing primarily because I could make my own gear (Although I didn't do that very often). I picked Mining because it's a gathering profession attached to Blacksmithing. As for the others, I took them because I could and I love having a complete character .


Do you have all your gear properly gem/enchanted? Do you have the rep to get all the ones you need?:
I am Exalted in every Cata Rep and every Horde Rep. All my gear is enchanted. (I think my gloves need to get a better enchant) and all my gear is gemmed according to Elitist Jerk's recommendations.


Do you know anybody in this guild?:
I have raided quite a few times with Eats Gnomes. If I know anybody in particular, I do not. I'm applying with my brother Trotinette, we love raiding together. I know he's a VERY capable healer. He also applied to this guild today.


Guild History:

-Guilds: I have been in a few guilds before this one. Susto, I got my gear at walmart, Volatile and I Like Cereal.

-Reasons for leaving previous guilds: Every guild, except the last one, I've left because I was told they raided, however they never did. I'm interested in raiding and that's why I'm on a quest for raiding. The last guild is a guild of my own creation. We've raided every week. However we never got a full core group going, so it got pretty exhausting always trying to find pugs.

I'm looking for a constant raiding group on who I can count on that will always attend raids. If we can clear content, that's even better! .



Previous raid experience:
I have completed every raid except Firelands and some of the Pre-cata raids. The only fight remaining for Original Cata raids is Nefarian, to which I already know the fight.


Any conflicts with our raiding schedule?:
Absolutely not. A late raiding guild is better for my schedule .


Anything else you want to add?:
As I mentioned previously, I'm applying with my brother Trotinette. I know he's a capable healer and also knows all the content. I'd love to join an active raiding guild. I hope you consider accepting me even though the website says you're not looking for paladins.
